February 24, 2020 Hola Everyone! This week was non-stop adventure! I had my last interview with President Teuscher on Tuesday, and it was really good. Just a time to feel the love and talk about plans. I got to go on an exchange with sweet Hermana Patchell. It was so good to be her companion again and we had a blast in Manhattan. I also got to go on an exchange with Sister Bahr, a Haitian Creole speaking missionary. She has an incredible testimony of obedience. That was back to back exchange, which apparently was a bad idea, because I got the flu and was out for the next two days. Today marked the first ever New York New York City district activity day. We went to the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoyed North Brooklyn together. February 17, 2020 Hola Everyone! Luckily South Brooklyn's performance of 'Mountains to Climb' at Zone Conference went better than expected, it was lots of fun! We focused on the Plan of Salvation. I feel like it helped me focus on the things that matter most, not only in missionary work, but in life as well. We had two exchanges this week, one with the Staten Island Hermanas (Hermana Van Woerkom and Hermana Crow) and the Brooklyn YSA Sisters (Sister McClara and Sister Scott). I got to be with Hermana Van Woerkom, which was super tender because this time last year we were companions. It was so much fun to share our experiences and see how much we have learned and grown. One fun thing that happened as well, we ate dinner at the house of someone we taught in Flushing together's great grandma! So that was kind of crazy, but it was also perfect. February 12, 2020 Hola Everyone! Hermana Haws and I were able to make a seamless transition to the new transfer and jump right into the work that needed to be done. Heavenly Father had a storehouse of miracles waiting for us on the way as well! We did some digging on some marriage and divorce laws, and it meant good news for some of the people we're teaching! It was really good to let them know and we're going to be working hard on that in the next couple of weeks. There was an update on area book a while back where records of people are deleted after two years if the person in question hasn't shown interest in the being taught by the missionaries. One thing we like to do is to send people whose records are about to be deleted a call or a text to give them one last chance before they're released into the wild. February 3, 2020 Hola Everyone! Transfer calls were Saturday, and Hermana Haws and I get to stay together in South Brooklyn for another transfer! The only change that is happening in our district is that Elder Rasmussen will be going up to Stamford and Elder Navarro will be receiving a new companion from Queens. It'll be fun to have most of the same missionaries around. We had a crazy week 7 with lots of meetings, calls, appointments, and an exchange. Here are a couple of stories from the week: Elder Navarro promised us a 15 minute Q&A with Elder Groberg (Sister Teuscher's dad) one week for meeting a goal with a district initiative at the begining of the transfer. We didn't even get close to making it to that goal, but we came to find out that Elder Navarro totally made it up that he could make that happen.
